Adding Hidden Storage To My MK2 GTI VR6 Boot Build!

The boot build on my Mk2 Golf GTI is finally starting to come together. In this episode I reveal a hidden storage compartment that I built to mirror the custom fibreglass sub enclosure on the opposite side of the boot. The aim was to keep the install symmetrical while adding some practical storage without spoiling the clean look. With that finished, I move on to the air ride installation by fitting the final two 3/8" aluminium hardlines through the display box walls using bulkhead fittings, bringing the valve block layout one step closer to the finished design. I also designed and 3D printed a set of custom mounting brackets for the air suspension controller, giving it a secure, hidden mounting position while still allowing easy access if it ever needs to be removed. It's another step towards the finished boot install and for the first time the whole design is starting to look exactly how I imagined it.
