Attivista per i diritti umani o supereroe? | Chiara Di Maria | TEDxMessina
From the stage at TEDxMessina 2023, human rights activist Chiara di Maria shared with the audience the social importance of her mission. Through her words, we heard the exploits of activists unknown to many of us in our country, yet who fight day after day for all those privileges that in our Western society are considered "obvious and basic." "Using my privileges to give a voice to those who have none"—a beautiful thought brought to life with concrete facts and actions. Chiara Di Maria has been a lawyer since 2018, specializing in civil and labor law matters. Chiara is an Amnesty International activist with various roles and responsibilities related to human rights education and community activism. Since 2019, she has been responsible for the Sicily Constituency of Amnesty International Italy and a member of the association's ODV 231/2001. Education and awareness to prevent and eliminate human rights violations are at the heart of Amnesty International's mission, and Chiara Di Maria fights for this cause every day. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
