Cycling Lake Como with my Family & Solo Sunrise Hike

🚲 Lake Como Family Cycling Tour & Solo Mountain Hike! 🏔️ Welcome to our weekend family adventure around one of the most stunning locations in Italy—Lake Como! We arrived on Friday evening and spent an incredible weekend exploring the lake on two wheels, plus a solo sunrise hike into the mountains. Here is our full itinerary, highlights, and the exact routes we took: 🗓️ OUR ITINERARY & ROUTES (Garmin Links): 🏔️ Saturday Morning Solo Hike: Started the day early with a solo morning hike into the mountains high above Tremezzo. The views were absolutely breathtaking—especially discovering a hidden hamlet of abandoned stone houses perched right on the ridge! 👉 Full Hike GPX Route: https://connect.garmin.com/app/activi... 🚴 Saturday Family Ride (North Branch): After the hike, the whole family geared up to cycle the beautiful northern branch of Lake Como. 👉 Saturday Cycling Route: https://connect.garmin.com/app/activi... 🚴 Sunday Family Ride (South West Branch): We spent Sunday cycling the southwest branch of the lake, taking in the iconic lakeside views. 👉 Sunday Cycling Route: https://connect.garmin.com/app/activi... ✨ TRIP HIGHLIGHTS: The Abandoned Ridge Hamlet: Finding the quiet, forgotten stone houses on the mountain ridge above Tremezzo during the morning hike. Sacro Monte di Ossuccio: A beautiful, historic, and deeply moving stop along our journey. Our Favorite Cycling Stretch (Bellagio to Como): This was the most beautiful part of the entire cycling tour! It had significantly fewer cars, felt much wilder, and the rolling "up and down" terrain made for a more exciting ride. Plus, checking out the dramatic Nesso Orrido gorge and people jumping in the lake from the old stone bridge was unforgettable.
