The first obstacle is a misunderstanding of God's character. People misunderstand God as a fearsome being or a giver of disease. However, the Bible says that God is love. God is the one who gives all kinds of good things (James 1:17). God is light, and there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). Disease is not inherently good. Therefore, it is a contradiction to say that God gives disease. The Bible shows that disease can be connected to the devil. Jesus healed those oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). Jesus never once rejected the sick. The cross demonstrates complete salvation, including healing. The idea that God gives disease undermines faith. Such thinking creates a divided mind (James 1:6-8). A divided mind blocks the flow of power. The second obstacle is disbelief. Rather than the Word Focusing on symptoms strengthens disbelief. Focusing on the Word strengthens faith. The mind of the flesh is death, the mind of the Spirit is life (Romans 8:6). Disbelief limits God's power. The disbelief of his hometown people prevented the miracle (Mark 6). Faith begins with an attempt and progresses to conviction. Conviction is the state of knowing that something has already been accomplished. Repetitive meditation on the Word and confession create conviction. You must persuade the heart through imagination and declaration. When disbelief crumbles, God's power flows without limitation.
