Arturo Merino Benitez y los caminos del aire
Arturo Merino Benítez, known to many only for the airport that bears his name, was the principal founder of Chilean aviation. He was the first commander-in-chief of the air force, founder of LAN, the Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, and of most of what he called "the air routes."
