No Campaign

The latest opinion poll results that have placed the 'yes' camp firmly in the driving seat, and which were released just slightly ahead of the referendum poll, have rubbed the red team the wrong way. Higher education minister William Ruto and his communications counterpart Samuel Poghisio are alleging that president barrack Obama's government had pumped in 1.8 billion shillings to bank roll the 'yes' campaign, and commission opinion poll surveys in favour of the proposed constitution. Retired president Daniel Moi on his part called for the rejection of the proposed new law, and termed it foreign. Francis Gachuri reports on the 'no' camp's latest vote hunting mission.
