Ingredients makes: 20-25 550 ml milk, lukewarm 500 gr all purpose flour 7 gr dry yeast 1 sachet vanilla sugar 1 tsp salt 80 gr raisins Deep frying pan + oil Confectioners sugar for dusting Instructions 1. In a large bowl stir together the flour, lukewarm milk, dry yeast and vanilla sugar. Add 1 tsp salt and raisins mix until a smooth batter. 2. Cover the bowl and let rise for 1 hour until double in size. 3. Heat the oil in a deep-fryer, or heavy deep pan to 190c. Use an ice cream scoop or 2 metal spoons to shape scoops of dough into balls, (Dip your spoon into the oil) and drop them carefully into the hot oil. Fry the doughnuts until deep brown. 4. The doughnuts should be soft and not greasy. If the oil is not hot enough, the outside will be tough and the insides greasy. Drain finished doughnuts on paper towels and dust with confectioners' sugar. Serve them piled on a dish with more confectioners' sugar dusted over them.
