Constructed predominantly from clay, the houses exhibit a unique architectural blend, with their lower levels intricately fashioned from rugged rock slabs. Amidst this landscape, numerous well-preserved dwellings boast ceilings adorned with intricate patterns crafted from palm fronds, palm leaf mats, and clay. Within these modestly sized houses I find rooms furnished with only the essentials: wooden chests, pegs for hanging garments, and shelves ingeniously hewn from rock slabs nestled into wall niches. This unique destination is a must-visit, but you need to hurry as each rainstorm claims a significant portion of this clay-and-rock settlement.
