How BEGINNERS can do WHEEL pose like a PRO!
If wheel is your goal, this video will walk you through how to set yourself up and work into Wheel so you can go from being a beginner to practising like a pro. In this video, we'll be exploring how to do Urdhva Dhanurasana, otherwise known as Upward Bow or more commonly Wheel pose. This is a challenging asana but entirely accessible when practised using this step-by-step' method because it gives you plenty of time to check in with your body and move in a controlled way. This tutorial breaks down how to set your foundation, hand placement as well as how to lift off the ground to come into the full expression of wheel pose, along with alignment tips and progressions to help you further your practice. If you are trying this for the first time go easy on yourself, don’t worry if the pose isn’t ‘perfect’, it will be wobbly… and probably a little shaky but that’s okay, it’s all part of the process. Remember to prioritise building a strong foundation versus getting into the pose straight away. Gaining control will serve you so much better in the long run.
