Site 7A | SOI Divestream 956

This 9-hour dive at Site 7A will focus on exploring the continental slope east of Trinidad. This area has not been scientifically explored before. Specifically, the dive will traverse a gently sloping seafloor. Conduct visual observations, including areas of hard substrate and/or high-density animal communities such as corals and sponges. Biological samples, Niskin samples, heat flow measurements, and 12 push cores will be collected opportunistically. Video transects will be conducted.
