It seems logical to think that if you're exhausted, the last thing you need is to exercise. But during menopause, the opposite is often true. When your energy is low, the sofa seems like the solution, but it's movement that generates energy. Small bursts of activity, not too stressful, but enough to activate the system and get the fuel flowing again. That's why some women wake up tired, but after 20 minutes of exercise… they feel like their day has been transformed. Because exercise improves blood flow, oxygenates the brain, reduces anxiety, and helps the body get out of that constant state of low energy. The key? Combine cardio exercises with strength training. Start with two weekly strength sessions—15 or 20 minutes—and combine them with "walk-run" walks: alternating between walking and jogging.
