I Visited 2 Ghost Towns Along Route 66 Near St. Louis: Allenton & Times Beach

The city of Eureka, Missouri is a thriving suburban community apart of the Greater St. Louis area. It's home to several amenities highlighted by the Six Flags St. Louis Theme Park. However, it's surrounded by 2 ghost towns that have entirely different stories apart of their decline. Allenton is on the west side of Eureka and declined due to being overshadowed economically by both the cities of Eureka and Pacific.
