St. Louis’ Playground: A Documentary on the Meramec River in St. Louis
Filmed in March of 2025. This is my capstone film for college. It is a documentary of the Meramec River in St. Louis and the resorts that were once along it. It features interviews of Marilyn Leistner, John Loida, and James F. Baker. I had the honor of having this film screened at the 25th annual St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase in July. The screening was at the historic Hi-Pointe Theater near Forest Park. Later, I dove deep into one of the communities I mention in this film, Sherman, in a short documentary called “Voices of Sherman”. Link: • Voices of Sherman
