Easy Panchmel Dal | 5 Mixed Dal Recipe | Nutritious Indian Dal

Make this delicious and nutritious Panchmel Dal using five different lentils. This wholesome recipe combines arhar dal, chana dal, urad dal, moong dal, and masoor dal to create a flavorful, protein-rich meal that is perfect for lunch or dinner. Recipe: • Mix equal quantities of arhar, chana, urad, moong, and masoor dal. Wash thoroughly and soak for 1 to 2 hours. • Finely chop 1 onion, 1 large tomato, 3 to 4 garlic cloves, a small piece of ginger, 2 green chillies, and coriander stems. Keep the coriander leaves aside for garnishing. • Heat 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add 3 to 4 pinches of asafoetida (hing). • Add the chopped onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, green chillies, and coriander stems. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. • Add the soaked dal, 1 teaspoon turmeric, salt to taste, and four times the quantity of water (for 1 bowl of dal, add 4 bowls of water). • Close the lid and pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles. • Allow the pressure to release naturally. Open the cooker and mix the dal well with a ladle until it becomes smooth and creamy. • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
