Huge thanks for the support ❤️ If my cooking style works for you, I’ve got a second channel you might enjoy too: 👉 / @notanothercurryshowsamebutdiff Ingredients (Serves 4–5) Stovetop Rice & Lentils • Cheap white rice: 1 cup UK | 1 cup US | 200 g • Yellow moong dal: 1 cup UK | 1 cup US | 180 g Vegetables • Potato, diced: 150 g (1 medium) • Carrot, diced: 80 g (1 small) • Green peas: 80 g | ½ cup UK | ½ cup US Base Masala • Ghee: 1 tbsp | 15 g • Oil: 1 tsp | 5 ml • Cumin seeds: ½ tsp | 2 g • Bay leaf: 1 leaf • Dried red chilli: 1 piece (optional) • Asafoetida (hing): ⅛ tsp • Onion, chopped: 1 medium | 100 g | ½ cup UK | ½ cup US • Ginger, chopped: 1 tsp | 5 g • Garlic, chopped: 1 tbsp | 12 g • Green chilli, chopped: 1 small • Tomato, chopped: 120 g | ½ cup UK | ½ cup US | 1 medium Spices • Turmeric: ½ tsp | 1.5 g • Kashmiri chilli powder: ½ tsp | 1.5 g • Coriander powder: ½ tsp | 1.5 g • Salt: 1 tsp (6 g) to start — adjust later Water Using 1 cup rice + 1 cup dal needs more water: • 2.5 litres | 2500 ml | 10½ cups UK | 10 cups US (You can reduce water for thicker khichdi; add more for looser.)
