Presented by the Peer Recovery Support Services Community of Practice Recorded on June 10, 2026 This Peer Recovery Support Services Community of Practice session explores how creative, low-cost programming can support wellness, recovery, and connection. Presenters discuss ways to use arts, crafts, peer-to-peer groups, recycled materials, and community support to create meaningful programming even when funding and resources are limited. The session connects creative programming to SAMHSA’s Eight Dimensions of Wellness and includes examples from Archways and Harbor Care. Participants also explore how art-making can support self-care, emotional wellness, social connection, recovery capital, and whole-person wellness. Participants will learn how to: • Understand SAMHSA’s 8 Dimensions of Wellness and explore ways to integrate them into low-cost artistic programming. • Develop skills for creating and facilitating peer-to-peer art groups. • Examine how art can be used as an effective recovery tool. • Engage in an interactive art making experience.
