Bramble Cuttings: The Perfect mooring on our narrowboat home?

An early start this week to get us through Middlewich before the winds get up. We're heading for Bramble Cuttings - we think it's one of the best moorings out there.....what do you think? And why is Big Lock so big? What's the point of it now as it's surrounded by narrow locks making it pretty pointless being a wide lock. As the weather gets grimmer by the hour we make a last minute dash for Anderton, in readiness for our saunter on the Bridgewater canal next week.
