It's time to leave Wrenbury on the beautiful Llangollen Canal and begin the journey towards Barbridge on a stunning summer's day aboard my narrowboat home. Joining me for today's cruise are my good friend Dan and his parents as we enjoy one of the UK's most scenic canal routes. You'll also meet Rincewind, the newest member of the crew and my new tiller-in, who's ready for life on the waterways! The trip takes an unexpected turn at Hurleston Locks, where the Canal & River Trust (CRT) is closing the flight for the evening. Only one boat is allowed through before the locks shut, leaving me stranded overnight at the water point until they reopen the following morning.
