Driver Lucas Cunha recounted how he helped save a child during an attempted kidnapping in Samambaia Sul (DF). He reported that he was passing through QR 513 when he noticed a commotion and saw two women fighting. Upon approaching, he realized a boy was involved in the altercation and was being held by the suspect, who showed signs of a possible psychotic episode. According to Lucas, the woman held the child between her legs with her arm near his neck. The boy was crying and gasping for breath. With the help of residents, he managed to remove the child, but said the suspect resisted and insisted the boy was hers. After separating him, Lucas asked who the mother was, and the child pointed to a woman in black, saying he didn't know the other woman involved. The boy's mother suffered minor injuries while trying to prevent her child from being taken. Residents reported that the suspect exhibited erratic behavior, claimed to be a lawyer, and even called the police as if requesting backup. According to family members, she spent four days hospitalized in an emergency care unit (UPA) before being transferred to a public psychiatric hospital in the Federal District. The incident occurred less than 24 hours after the woman entered the enclosure of the elephant Chocolate at the Brasília Zoo, holding a bucket, but was restrained by security guards. #RECORD #RecordBrasília
