Socialismes et néolibéralisme : au tournant des années 1980
Socialism and Neoliberalism: At the Turn of the 1980s Based on an archive from the Pierre Mauroy collection—the transcript of a 1983 interview—Mathieu Fulla, a historian specializing in European left-wing movements in the 20th and 21st centuries, shows how socialist elites in Western Europe in the 1980s reacted to the transformations of an international economic order increasingly focused on protecting capital and its free movement worldwide, and how this archive has informed his recent research. — Mathieu Fulla is a researcher and lecturer (PRAG) at the Sciences Po Center for History. His work focuses on the history of the left in Europe in the 20th and 21st centuries, the history of the state, and the history of capitalism, particularly its dynamic of "financialization" that began in the 1970s. He has notably published French Socialists and the Economy*. An Economic History of Politics (Presses de Sciences Po, 2016), and co-editor, respectively with Marc Lazar and Michele Di Donato, of *European Socialists and the State in the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries (Palgrave, 2020) and Leftist Internationalisms (Bloomsbury Academic, 2023). — "In the Historians' Workshop" is a podcast from the Sciences Po History Centre, hosted by Aurélie Luneau and produced by Nils Bertinelli. 🎧 Podcast the episode: https://smartlink.ausha.co/dans-l-ate...
