Spring 2026 Detroit Area Railfanning

Yup, more trains in the D. Just like I did during winter, I caught some really interesting trains in the metro Detroit area during the spring. With the temps warming up and school ending for the summer, it's now a lot easier for me to go railfanning, so hopefully, this year I'll have a summer Detroit railfanning compilation. Here's some of the featured spots I went to: The Amtrak Michigan Line in Wayne. Former DT&I electric arches along the CN Dearborn Sub in Allen Park, Taylor, and Melvindale. High Hoods and other trains at NS' Oakwood Yard in Allen Park. The 4 parallel CN and Conrail tracks through Wyandotte. The crossroads of CSX and NS/CPKC in Romulus.
