Winter 2026 Railfanning in Metro Detroit

Several months ago, I made a video with summer railfanning catches in the Detroit area, this video is essentially the same format, just in winter of 2026 now. Lately, I've been going railfanning outside of my usual spot, and catching trains that I previously haven't been documenting a lot due to various reasons, and with winter essentially over, I decided it was time to share these catches with you all! This video also features several unique and rare catches, including horn shows, special interest and heritage units, NS high hood EMDs, and fallen flag visitors from Chicagoland racing an old GTW unit. Locations include: CSX L303 in Plymouth, MI (ft CSX 1982). Crossroads of NS, CPKC, and CSX at Romulus, MI. NS B25 on the Amtrak Michigan Line in Wayne, MI. CN L571 and L572 on the Dearborn Sub from Melvindale to Woodhaven (ft DT&I electric arches). High Hood EMDs and other trains switching NS' Oakwood Yard in Allen Park, MI. CN and NS trains along the 4-track mainline in Wyandotte and Ecorse, MI. CN trains entering and exiting Flat Rock Yard in Woodhaven, MI.
