Parco Nazionale Val Grande - Val Pogallo: alla ricerca della Decauville dell'Alpe Brusà

Dear friends, following Decauville's previous research, which connected Alpe Color with Alpe Pian di Boit, we were informed of the existence of a second, parallel line located at a higher altitude, near Alpe Brusà. From there, the timber was then transported via cantilevered wires to Alpe Pogallo and Alpe Preda. The peculiarity of this research lies in the lack of any indication on maps, military charts, or old aerial photographs. We went to investigate directly in the field and the search was successful: we found traces of everything we were looking for. Enjoy!
