Marathon Rotterdam 2024 - It Really Is A Beauty 👌

I heard people always talk about the marathon in Rotterdam and say that it's #demooiste (the most beautiful one) and i always wondered why that was. I wanted to discover why that was so i made sure i was at the starting line on April 14th 2024! I can say that this marathon definitely didn't disappoint, so many spectators, bringing a lot of ambiance to the scene, they gave me goosebumps! This whole marathon is very well organized, there are water stations every 5 kilometers, separate sponge stations, ... What can we ask more, right? My goal wasn't to go for a PB due to the proper lack of training in the weeks leading up to the marathon, but i was fine with that. In the end I'm still happy with the time that i got even though it's not the time that i had in mind. I also have seen some things that were not so positive, several people came into problems due to the temperatures rising and such, i saw a couple of people that could barely walk anymore or were almost passing out perhaps due to dehydration. I also encountered paramedics that were trying to reanimate a young guy that had a cardiac arrest. I can only hope that everybody is alright after the marathon 🤞 Will i be back at the starting line of the marathon in Rotterdam in 2025, off course i will, this marathon is such a beauty and fun to run, that i wouldn't want to miss it.
