Back where it started… and race week arrived. This video covers Monday to Wednesday training using the Norwegian Singles Approach, including a modified sub-threshold session, recovery running, and race day at the Hereford 5K series. Because the race was on Wednesday, I swapped my usual sessions around as part of load management. Instead of the normal 4 x 10 min sub-threshold session, Monday became 10 x 3 min off 60 seconds recovery to slightly reduce training load while still keeping some speed in the legs before the race. The session went very well with controlled pacing and all efforts remaining sub-threshold. Tuesday was a controlled 60-minute easy run focused on recovery and preparing for race day. Wednesday was race day at the Hereford 5K series… but the result will have to wait.
