Ils ont créé un restaurant au cœur de leur ferme

Today, I'm taking you to Pradenn Farm in Brittany. Originally, it was a family farm with mixed crop and livestock farming. But over the years, it has become much more: a diverse, collective farm where market gardening, bread making, cider production, beef and pork production, processing, farm sales… and even a restaurant all come together. In this episode, we meet Loïc, who took over and developed the farm with a profound vision of farming: working the land, but also creating a landscape, protecting biodiversity, passing on a working tool, and supporting the projects that are taking root around him. We also meet Aulne, his son, a trained chef who went to hotel school, worked in luxury hotels in Paris, then in Quebec, before returning to the farm with a powerful idea: to create an ecosystem where we produce, process, and serve what we eat, as close as possible to nature. At Pradenn Farm, each activity nourishes the others. Vegetables fuel the kitchen, by-products feed the pigs, the pastures welcome the cows, and cider, bread, charcuterie, market gardening, and catering all move forward together, guided by a logic of collective action, autonomy, and interdependence. The discussion touches on family traditions, returning to the land, cooking, living products, agricultural models, community, resilience, and also on the joy of cooking: the joy of preparing food, nourishing a community, working with loved ones, and gradually building a meaningful farm. This episode focuses on a farm that seeks not only to produce, but to create a true human, agricultural, and food ecosystem.
