For this episode, the Chicago Horn Loudspeaker Guys visited the home of Dan Quick, in the suburbs of Chicago. Dan is a talented tinkerer and mono enthusiast that has put together two very intriguing monophonic systems featuring iconic vintage drivers and cabinet designs. He matched both systems with low power boutique amplifiers and was able to achieve amazing results. His Altec/Jensen speakers driven by his DIY Loftin-White designed, Don Garber inspired tube amplifier, streaming music or playing vinyl records in his REK-O-KUT idler drive turntable in a 10' by 10' room deliver the music in spades. His RCA LC1 mono system powered by a couple of watts, filled his entire house with beautiful music. There is no hyperbole when we say "You need to experience this". Dan's mono systems far exceeded our expectations and dispelled a number of common misconceptions.
