Hybrid Horn vs Fully Horn-Loaded — Which Is Better

Hybrid horn vs fully horn-loaded — it’s a question that comes up often, and one that isn’t as complicated as it might seem. In this video, I take a look at both approaches using two Volti Audio speakers — the Razz (hybrid horn) and the Vittora (fully horn-loaded). I talk through the differences in design, what that means in terms of sound, and some of the real-world trade-offs when it comes to space, cost, and system setup. Fully horn-loaded speakers offer some clear advantages, but they also come with requirements that don’t always fit every room or system. Hybrid designs approach the problem differently, and for many setups, they can make a lot of sense. In fact, a speaker like the Razz could easily be an end-game speaker for you. If you’ve been following along, you know I like to keep these videos simple and real — just a one-take walk through the shop and into the listening room.
