This idea grew in popularity when the Northern Line branch to Battersea Power station was being built - as it would take the Northern line within striking distance of Clapham Junction Station - however, due to the way the extension to Battersea was funded, no money was allocated for this additional stop. Since that extension's opening, calls have continued to grow for this extension to happen - especially from Wandsworth council who have recently commissioned a feasibility report into it. So in this video, we'll look at what this extension would mean for both Clapham Junction station and the London Underground in general. We'll also look at the various pros (as well as cons) that building this megaproject would bring.
