Transit Costs Project: https://transitcosts.com/ Note: My claims about transit costs in France are partly based on Lyon, partly based on other projects in France. The Lyon tram project costs that I have are both older (early 2000s), before the cost explosion in the Anglosphere (so, more other countries were building more cheaply at the time too). I don't have data on new tram projects in Lyon specifically, but I do have data on new metro projects in Lyon and new tram projects elsewhere in France to say that France has remained able to build relatively cheaply. Thanks to Jedwin Mok for sharing his compilation of project construction costs (based on the Eno Center and Transit Costs Project).
