दिल्ली में Bike और Scooty चुरा कर उसके पुर्जे Parts बेचने वाला चोर Dildar Singh और कबाड़ी गिरफ्तार
#DelhiPolice #CrimeNews #AutoTheft #BikeTheft #DelhiNews In a major breakthrough against the rising cases of two-wheeler theft in the national capital, the South-West District Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of Delhi Police has busted a vehicle theft network in which a notorious auto lifter worked hand-in-hand with a scrap dealer to dispose of stolen motorcycles and scooters. Police arrested Dildar Singh alias Meena (28), a resident of Tilak Vihar, and Vishnu (26), a resident of Kishangarh, Delhi. Based on their disclosures, police recovered five stolen motorcycles and three stolen scooters, solving eight vehicle theft cases. According to police, the gang followed a well-planned method. Dildar Singh allegedly stole motorcycles and scooters from different parts of Delhi and sold them to Vishnu. Instead of selling the vehicles as they were, Vishnu dismantled them into individual spare parts, including engines, tyres, body panels and electrical components, before selling the parts separately. This made it extremely difficult for investigators to trace or identify the stolen vehicles. To curb the increasing incidents of vehicle theft, the South-West District Police had assigned the AATS to identify active auto lifters. Under the leadership of Inspector Ram Kumar, In-charge of AATS, and under the close supervision of ACP (Operations) Sangamitra, a special team comprising ASI Vinod Kumar, ASI Dharmender, Head Constables Mohit, Narendra, Devender, Ravinder, Pradeep, Prashant, Manoj Moral, and Constable Praveen was formed. The team examined footage from more than 300 CCTV cameras installed around theft locations and collected local intelligence. During the investigation, Dildar Singh alias Meena emerged as a key suspect. On July 8, 2026, police received specific intelligence that Dildar would be moving through the area with a stolen motorcycle. Acting swiftly, the team laid a trap and apprehended him along with the stolen bike. Verification revealed that the motorcycle was linked to E-FIR No. 032065/25, registered under Section 305(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Palam Village Police Station. During sustained interrogation, Dildar confessed to stealing multiple two-wheelers and disclosed the locations where other stolen vehicles had been hidden. Acting on his information, police recovered two stolen scooters and one stolen motorcycle. He also revealed the identity of the person who regularly purchased the stolen vehicles from him. Following his disclosure, police arrested Vishnu, a scrap dealer from Kishangarh. Investigation revealed that Vishnu had been running a scrap business for the past five to six years and knowingly purchased stolen motorcycles and scooters. He dismantled the vehicles, separated their spare parts and sold them to different buyers, effectively destroying the identity of the stolen vehicles and making recovery extremely difficult. Based on Vishnu's disclosure, police recovered three more stolen motorcycles and one stolen scooter, taking the total recovery to eight stolen two-wheelers. Police said Dildar Singh had studied up to Class 10. After failing to secure a regular job, he started driving an auto-rickshaw. During that period, he came into contact with anti-social elements and developed a drug addiction. To finance his addiction and daily expenses, he allegedly turned to stealing motorcycles and scooters before selling them to Vishnu. Police records show that Dildar is already involved in one robbery case and one assault/quarrel case, both registered at Rajouri Garden Police Station. Vishnu, also educated up to Class 10, had been operating his scrap business for several years. Police believe he played a crucial role in the racket because dismantling stolen vehicles into spare parts allowed the gang to eliminate evidence and earn quick profits. Investigators say vehicle theft networks continue to thrive because stolen vehicles have a ready market through receivers and scrap dealers willing to purchase them. The operation has led to the detection of eight vehicle theft cases registered at Palam Village, Sagarpur, Hari Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Mehrauli, Jamia Nagar and Uttam Nagar police stations, all registered under Section 305(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Delhi Police is now investigating whether more people are connected to the network and where the dismantled spare parts were being supplied. Officials believe the arrests could help uncover a larger vehicle theft and stolen auto-parts racket operating across the city.
