Water Worries - So we are Increasing our Water Storage

In April I started noticing that our water butts were going down quickly, for the time of year, as April is usually full of rain. At that point we decided that water storage was going to be our topic for the next 'Across the Holdings' question. Then in the news reports of a super El Niño threatening droughts and hose pipe bans, made us realise quickly that our rain water collection needed updating sooner rather than later. We are a family of five, plus animals, living in the UK, trying to be as self-reliant as possible using the space we have (1/25th of an acre), after chronic illness leading to job loss halted our small holding dreams.
