Severn Valley Railway Summer Gala 2026 | Day 2 | Hampton Loade & Arley | Steam & Diesel Action Join me for Day 2 of the Severn Valley Railway’s Summer Gala, filmed on Sunday 19 July 2026 at Hampton Loade and Arley. This unique gala celebrates the smallest locomotives in the SVR home fleet alongside some fascinating visiting engines, with an intensive timetable of steam and diesel services running between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Locomotives featured during the event include: 🚂 Kerr Stuart ‘Witch’ Class No. 4388 (Guest) 🚂 Neilson & Co No. 2937 (Guest) 🚂 GWR 813 🚂 GWR Pannier Tank 7714 🚂 BR Class 09 No. 09107 🚂 BR Class 14 D9551 🚂 BR Class 17 D8568 🚂 BR Class 20 No. 20048 🚂 BR Class 42 D821 🚂 Class 101 DMU Unfortunately, Hunslet No. 3783 “Hollybank No. 3” was unable to attend due to a fault and its duties were covered by GWR 813. In addition, Class 07 D2996 did not enter service as testing was still ongoing, with Class 42 D821 taking its place.
