Severn Valley Railway Summer Gala 2026 | Bewdley Station | Day 1 | Steam & Diesel Action Join me at Bewdley Station on Day 1 of the Severn Valley Railway Summer Gala 2026, where I capture all the action from one of the railway’s most popular summer events. This year’s gala celebrates the smallest locomotives in the Severn Valley Railway’s home fleet alongside some fascinating visiting engines. Throughout the day you’ll see a fantastic mix of steam, diesel and heritage traction passing through Bewdley Station. Locomotives scheduled to appear included: 🚂 Kerr Stuart No. 4388 “Witch” Class (Guest) 🚂 Neilson & Co No. 2937 (Guest) 🚂 GWR 813 🚂 GWR 7714 🚂 Class 09 No. 09107 🚂 Class 14 D9551 🚂 Class 17 D8568 🚂 Class 20 No. 20048 🚂 Class 42 D821 🚂 Class 101 DMU Please note that Hunslet No. 3783 “Hollybank No. 3” was unable to attend due to a fault and its duties were covered by GWR 813. Class 07 D2996 also did not appear as it remained in testing, with Class 42 D821 taking its place. During the day there was a small lineside fire shortly after GWR 7714 departed towards Kidderminster. Thankfully, railway staff dealt with the situation quickly and train services were only subject to minor delays.
