Outlander Reaction Ep. 807 "Evidence Of Things Not Seen" **BOOK SPOILERS**

*WARNING: INCLUDES BOOK SPOILERS* The esteemed but often controversial writer, Toni Graphia's, final Outlander episode exploded in a visceral reaction throughout the fandom... a pressure cooker that has been building since last season's finale. The Faith revelation in "Evidence Of Things Not Seen" packed an even bigger punch as it also included two additional "off book" shocking events - the death of a beloved major character, Fergus Fraser, and the "outing" John's homosexuality to William. Unfortunately, as this long fuse finally met dynamite, the intense anger blinded many to the truly artistic and beautiful aspects of this intense episode. Author, Diana Gabaldon, compounded the concussive effects with negative public commentary. Sadly, Outlanderverse showed its ugliest side as it reacted to this episode. I personally found that truly disturbing with only three episodes remaining of this show we've treasured for over a decade. So, here is my reaction as I wade into the fray and attempt to bring some balance, perspective and fairness to the mix. I also "bring the receipts" on how this evolved. This reaction show drew the largest "live" audience I've had in a long while, and I admit I was a wee bit nervous. However, the BEES were amazing as always, and (based on feedback) I think they truly appreciated my take. We even managed a laugh or two - a minor miracle in the frenzy of this week. These are my top thoughts and reactions interspersed with discussion and feedback from the live chat thread. KJR shows are unplugged, unstructured and interactive. It's very different from our deep dive review and analysis show called Outlander Buzz which is a more intense, deeper dive with honeypot ratings, stand out characters, adaptation choices, Hits and Misses, History Hits, interview clips and other subsection categories along with a scene-by-scene analysis. These are fully structured and high production. They are quite time consuming to create. I will begin producing S8 Outlandish BUZZ S8 post season, so we can consider how the ep serves the season arc as a whole. While these reactions were recorded live, I have done some light editing and dressing to remove things like pregnant pauses while I read the board etc. (The Outlandish Hive audience are fans of both book and show, so ALL of my posts may contain book spoilers.)
