He added that investigators named him a suspect on Monday afternoon (November 3rd) and detained the perpetrator that evening for the next 20 days. "We have detained him. We have charged the suspect under Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning assault," he stated firmly. Police Secure Four Witnesses and Several Pieces of Evidence During the investigation, police questioned four witnesses and secured several pieces of evidence, including the victim's and the perpetrator's clothing, as well as the cell phone that triggered the incident. "Based on the information we received, the perpetrator came and immediately hit the victim without giving him an opportunity to clarify," explained AKP Eko. Misunderstanding Over Cell Phone Is the Main Trigger The investigation revealed that the assault stemmed from a misunderstanding. The perpetrator's family reported that the teacher allegedly damaged the student's cell phone. However, the evidence showed that the phone was in good condition and undamaged. "The motive arose from the perpetrator's family's report about the alleged damage to the student's cell phone. After we examined it, the phone was found to be in good condition," said AKP Eko. The assault on the teacher has raised deep concern among educators and the public.
