Drive from Crammag Head to Sandhead

Leaving Crammag Head, we begin on the B7065, climbing away from Scotland's dramatic southern coastline through open farmland and rolling countryside. The road soon brings us into Drummore, Scotland's southernmost village, where we join the A716. Continuing north on the A716, we pass through the small villages of Mull, Ardwell and Clachanmore, following the gently undulating landscape of the Rhins of Galloway. This peaceful route is characterised by quiet farmland, dry-stone walls and occasional views towards the Irish Sea. Our journey then reaches the coastal village of Sandhead, overlooking Luce Bay. With its attractive sandy beach and tranquil setting, Sandhead marks the end of this section of the drive before the A716 continues north towards Glenluceand Stranraer.
