The "Hwaseong-Anseong Private Expressway" is a 45.3km, four- to six-lane section that begins in Yanggam-myeon, Hwaseong, passes through Pyeongtaek and Yongin, and ends in Iljuk-myeon, Anseong. Construction is slated to begin in 2030, with an opening target of 2035. Anseong City is expected to ease traffic congestion in the northern region and emerge as a transportation hub connecting the southern part of the Seoul metropolitan area. With strengthened regional connectivity with Yongin Namsa and Wonsam, Pyeongtaek, and Icheon, accessibility to the semiconductor industry and logistics cluster is expected to improve significantly. Currently, Anseong City is conducting a feasibility study for the private sector to construct the Anseong-Taean Private Expressway and the Jamsil-Cheongju Airport Central Inland Railway. Furthermore, the Yongin-Anseong-Chungju Expressway passed the feasibility study in September. The city plans to complete the so-called "2+7 transportation network" by building seven expressways, including the existing Gyeongbu, Jungbu, and Sejong-Pocheon Expressways, along with two railway lines.
