Paul Howard Fluting/Router Jig 11 - A latticework dish in English Walnut

This is my 11th video following my learning experience with the Paul Howard Fluting/Router jig. William Hunt Woodturner. A turned latticework dish in English Walnut. This was originally a background project, the outcome of which was not expected to be worthy of a video. However, I was wrong and I was both surprised and pleased with the project. Even the encounter of an unusual hidden void provided an opportunity for a unique feature of the project - a gold nugget. I used a 5mm double fluted router cutter which worked well for this project. For the annular rings on the reverse I used a nicely sharpened 5mm parting tool. I’m learning to handle the router more carefully which has resulted in less sanding, Paul Howard’s Fluting Jig is an amazing addition to the woodturners tool kit and opens up all kinds of new turning opportunities. Finished with Yorkshire Grit and Hampshire Sheen.
