Newark Terminal C was very accurate, and the Polaris lounge was relaxing. I liked their ticket scanner system at the gate, and I especially loved their new and improved phone system. I was quite impressed by the capabilities of their phone, including a working Spotify app, locking sounds, the ability to go into many corners of the app, and even getting receipts of past flights. Well done, United. Airport: 4/6 Newark Terminal C, although being accurate to its real life counterpart, I do think that United could benefit by optimizing it a bit as it was quite laggy, and I do think adding working shops and restaurants would be nice instead of having to wait at the gate for a while before boarding. Heathrow's interior was quite nice and included immigration desks. Seat: 4.5/6 United's Business Class or Polaris seats were nicely modeled and very accurate, but I was a bit disappointed that there was no recline or the ability to do anything else with the seat, like taking out a tray table or turning on a light. I do think that seat controls could be great for United. IFE: 3/6 Despite there being no actual IFE screen, the information tab on the aircraft was accurate and detailed, which I enjoyed reading. Furthermore, the many camera angles offered for great views, which I also liked--I would take advantage of this feature for both takeoff and landing. Food: 5/6 United, although having less options than other carriers, had food that was both detailed and plentiful. The lack of options was a little limiting, though. Service: 5/6 Team spirit is always important, and the staff here at United seemed genuinely happy to serve their passengers and to work here. TOTAL SCORE: 31.5/40 United scored high on this flight from Newark to Heathrow. There is definitely still room for improvement, like optimization and shops at Newark, seat controls, and IFE screens, but United still has lots of pros--its phone system, planes, seats, overall realism, and accuracy to reality.
