◼︎ On May 16, 1987, a 15-inning tie complete game took place between Lotte's Choi Dong-won and Haitai's Sun Dong-yeol. Baseball hero Choi Dong-won was a master strategist on the mound who left behind immortal records, ranging from a 17-inning no-hit no-run in his high school days to a single-handed victory in the 1984 Korean Series. He was the pride of Busan, symbolized by his gold-rimmed glasses and ceaseless effort; however, he also faced the ordeal of being abruptly traded to Samsung in 1988 after leading the founding of the Players' Association to protect players' rights.
