El Valle de la Sombra de Muerte por Charles Spurgeon

The Valley of the Shadow of Death By Charles H. Spurgeon "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." — Psalm 23:4 This verse is certainly very applicable to a believer's experience when they come to die, but that is certainly not its only purpose. It has an ineffably lovely application for the dying, but it is also for the living; and at this moment, if, through any particular trial, your soul is weighed down within you and you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death, I plead with you to repeat the words of the text, and may the Lord help you to feel that they are true: "Even though (even now) I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." The words are not in the future tense in their original version; therefore, they are not reserved for a distant time. Do not leave for the future what you so desperately need in the present. Though I walk, even now, through the valley of the shadow of death, you, O Lord, are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. David was not dying; the psalm is full of happy, peaceful life. He is lying in green pastures and following his Lord beside still waters; and if a cloud has descended upon him and he feels as one threatened by death, yet he expects goodness and mercy to follow him all the days of his life. The song should not be kept on a shelf until our last day, but should be sung on our stringed instruments every day of our lives; therefore, let us sing it in this sacred hour in the courts of the house of the Lord and in the midst of those who love him. #psalm23 #christians #godisgood #salvation #redemption #sin #fallenworld #hangedonthewood
