SNICKERS VEGANAS | Living Like A Panda

This Sunday's video recipe is for: VEGAN SNICKERS, healthier than the originals, easy to make with readily available ingredients, and quick in just a few steps. The flavor is explosive and will delight anyone. If you want to know how to make them, here are the written instructions: INGREDIENTS: LAYER 1: BASE 75 g raw cashews 250 g rolled oats 2 tbsp peanut butter 150 ml agave syrup · In a food processor, grind the cashews and rolled oats until you have a kind of flour. If you don't have cashews, you can use blanched almonds instead. · Transfer this flour to a deep bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. · Mix well with a fork, and when it starts to clump together, mix with your hands. Transfer this mixture to a glass container lined with parchment paper. We used a rectangular one measuring 18 x 24 cm. Press it down firmly with your hands or a spoon until it's compact across the entire surface. We'll put the container in the refrigerator while we make the next layer. LAYER 2: SALTED PEANUT BUTTER CARAMEL 370 g dates (Medjoul type, which are plumper) 1 1/2 tbsp peanut butter 1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil 1 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla extract 70 g roasted, skinless peanuts Soak the pitted dates for 1 hour, or like we did, cover them in hot water for 10 minutes to soften them. Drain the beans and transfer them to a blender. Add the remaining ingredients except the roasted peanuts. Blend until you have a delicious paste. Good luck not eating it by the spoonful because it's so good! xD Spread the paste over the base layer with a spoon. If it sticks, keep a bowl of water handy to dampen the spoon and make spreading easier. Add the shelled peanuts on top. Scatter them evenly over the surface and press them down lightly, without pushing them in, so they compact and don't fall off. Freeze for 2 hours to firm up and allow for easy cutting of the bars. Once removed from the freezer, cut into bars. This recipe made about 14 vegan Snickers bars because we first cut 7 lengthwise sections and then cut those in half. COATING: 300g 80% dark chocolate 2 tbsp coconut oil · Place the ingredients in a saucepan and melt over low heat so it doesn't burn. · Transfer the melted chocolate to a wide, deep bowl. · Using two forks, pick up each bar and dip it into the chocolate. Use a spoon to coat it completely. · Use the fork again to let the excess chocolate drip off. · Place them on parchment paper. · Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or freeze, and that's it! To preserve them, we like to keep them in the freezer, and when we feel like it, we eat one. We hope you liked it!
