John Clare Documentary; Fields Of Unwritten Song
Fields of Unwritten Song | A Journey with John Clare “I found the poems in the fields, And only wrote them down.” John Clare Step into the hedgerows, cross the vanished paths, and walk beside a poet who saw larks where others saw fences. This short film is a tribute to John Clare (1793–1864), the "Peasant Poet" of Northamptonshire a man of humble birth, deep feeling, and wild brilliance. Through richly textured visuals, original music, and poetic narration, Fields of Unwritten Song traces his life from barefoot boyhood to asylum walls, capturing his love of nature, his struggle with enclosure, and his unyielding devotion to verse. Featuring two original compositions by David Goosey: 🎵 The Skylark – a chill-hop instrumental in 7/8 time 🎵 Where the Road Ends – a vocal piece over mellow brass, sombre with a quiet uplift Whether you're drawn to the countryside, the story of lost voices, or simply the music of language itself, this film offers a window into one of England’s most poignant poetic souls. 🌿 Made with reverence, wonder, and a touch of starlight. A tribute to a great poet. #JohnClare #PoetryFilm #FieldsOfUnwrittenSong #NaturePoet #DavidGooseyMusic #RomanticPoetry #FolkFilm
