My first official attempt at a sub-45 minute 10k went horribly wrong... and then the mental battle truly began. This was officially my worst week of running EVER. We talk a lot about the physical side of training for a running goal, but this week, the mental side completely took over. After failing my sub-45 10km attempt early in the week, a negative headspace crept in and ruined every single run that followed. I couldn't shake the disappointment, my pacing was off, and I let my brain win the mental battle.
