Rain, Ruins, and Sea Arches: The Magic of County Donegal

Hello there folks! How’s it going? I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your Wednesday! Our Irish photography workshop adventure continues this week as we head into the always enchanting, rugged County Donegal. I absolutely love this corner of the world. Getting to guide our wonderful workshop group through these landscapes was incredible, but as an added bonus, I actually got to experience a few of these specific locations for the very first time myself. Donegal’s coastline is a constant, powerful reminder of why I love it here in Ireland, and just how happy I am to call this island my home. We managed to hit the absolute highlights of the county, and it’s safe to say they completely lived up to the reputation. From the epic, sweeping cliffs at Malin Head to a beautifully moody and rainy afternoon at Fanad Lighthouse, the light kept us on our toes. We also explored the hidden, exposed ruins of Dunlewey Church nestled beneath Mount Errigal, and finally stood before the raw power of the Crohy Head Sea Arch. Donegal is a paradise for landscape photography, and I already cannot wait to get back. Grab a warm drink, sit back, and come wander the wild northwest with us.
