I Fixed His Backhand in 15 Minutes (TWOEY + PUNCH VOLLEY)

Struggling to control your backhand at the kitchen? In this CCC, I work with Hui on two key shots: the two-handed backhand counter and the backhand punch volley. His biggest issues were: • Standing too upright • Using his arms instead of his body • Using too much wrist on the punch volley • Inconsistent contact For the two-hand backhand counter, he was over-arming the shot instead of using his body and shoulder rotation to generate control and power. For the backhand punch volley, his wrist and his positioning made it hard to create a clean, stable contact point. We focused on: • Better ready position • Staying lower and more balanced • Proper paddle positioning • Watching the ball all the way to contact • Using the shoulder and body, not just the arms Once those adjustments clicked, both shots became much more controlled and consistent at the kitchen. If your backhand side feels unreliable in hand battles, this breakdown will help you understand why it’s happening and how to fix it.
