本作品は、国立映画アーカイブが所蔵する文化・記録映画など映画作品を配信するWEBサイト「フィルムは記録する ―国立映画アーカイブ歴史映像ポータル―」https://filmisadocument.jp（制作：国立映画アーカイブ、国立情報学研究所）の公開作品です。 『陸軍特別大演習 於岡山縣下 昭和五年十一月』(リクグントクベツダイエンシュウ オカヤマケンカニテ ショウワゴネンジュウイチガツ、1930年) 製作＝陸軍省新聞班 13分、白黒、サイレント 1930年11月14日より16日まで、岡山市の後楽園に大本営を設置して行われた陸軍特別大演習の記録。統監役である天皇の動向を中心に、演習の進行が綴られているが、宮殿下や将校たち、部隊の兵士たち、放送局員、見物の子供たちなど、演習に集う人々の様子が隈なく捉えられている。アップとロングの切り返しによる小気味よいモンタージュ、同一カットの繰り返しなど、劇映画製作会社らしい編集が目を引く。 「フィルムは記録する ―国立映画アーカイブ歴史映像ポータル―」では、1913年から1941年までに製作された40作品を新たに公開いたします。今回の公開では、とりわけ1920年代後半から30年代初頭までの作品を中心に、軍国主義化が進行していく時代相が描かれているとともに、大衆文化の爛熟ぶりをうかがうこともできます。国立映画アーカイブでは、今後も随時公開作品を増やしていく予定です。ぜひサイトをお訪ねください。 ---------------------------------------- This is one of the films featured on the website “Film IS a Document: NFAJ Historic Film Portal” (a joint project of the National Film Archive of Japan and the National Institute of Informatics) which streams a selection of titles from the NFAJ film collection with initial focus on cultural and documentary films.
