✅Al Capone, the most famous and cruel gangster of 1920s Chicago. He created one of the first soup kitchens, feeding the needy three times a day for free during the Great Depression of 1929. On average, he fed 2,000 people a day in the so-called Capone soup kitchens. Al Capone was always a controversial figure; a bloodthirsty killer of Chicago in the 1920s and 1930s and a humanitarian at the same time. Capone began his criminal career in Brooklyn before moving to Chicago, where he became the city's most famous criminal figure and America's public enemy number one. In the 1930s, he was arrested and imprisoned in Alcatraz for tax evasion.
