We are social beings. As such, we feel safe in our environment because we identify with something, with someone. Labels, like those derived from gender, give us security. But... what would happen if we didn't use these labels? A psychologist specializing in clinical and educational psychology, she has focused her work on promoting the employment and academic integration of women who are victims of gender-based violence and young people at risk of social exclusion. Her research has explored sexuality, gender, and their social relationships. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
